Gathering testimonials from your clients is a key part of building your professional credibility with prospective new clients. For some entrepreneurs, this is a no brainer. But for many, it's a dreaded chore to resist. Because, after all…

  • It's a little embarrassing to ask someone to say nice things about you.
  • You don't want to be pesky.
  • You do ask, but your clients take forever to get around to writing a testimonial. So now you have to nag them. Yuck.
  • The last time a client wrote a testimonial for you, it was so badly worded you didn't want to use it. Awkward.
  • You're so busy with everything else, you just never seem to get around to it.

Martha Carnahan has devised a simple testimonial-gathering process that not only yields excellent testimonials (authentic, results-oriented, strong), but the whole process is enjoyable and will actually enhance your relationship with your clients! A key benefit of the process is that you will end up with a testimonial that is genuine, not a hyped up statement that sounds fake and "slick."

In her presentation, Martha will guide you through the steps of the process and make sure you leave the event with a clear understanding of what to do and why testimonials are such an important part of your marketing. We'll also touch on referrals – how to ask your clients for referrals without feeling icky.
