The Freelance Forum's next program will be held on Thursday, September 8 (following the Labor Day weekend) and will feature two local computer experts to give us valuable tips and info. Kevin Livingston (Tosh Consulting, Mac guru) and Les Capouya (Sensible Networks, PC guru) will be our featured speakers.

The first half of their presentation will cover preventive maintenance for Macs and PCs. The second half will address the advantages and disadvantages of cloud services (like Adobe subscriptions, cloud storage, etc.) and the impact that mobile devices (iPads, smart phones, etc.) are having on presentations, sales meetings, productivity, etc. We'll be opening up the last 15 minutes for a Q&A.

Kevin Livingston of Tosh Consulting has been providing computer maintenance and recovery to creatives in Atlanta for over a decade. Kevin’s services extend across all things digital, from smartphones to servers, with an emphasis on the Apple Macintosh platform.

Les Capouya is with Sensible Networks, Inc., which focuses on small business systems, integration and networking, with a specialty in EMR (electronic medical records). Sensible Networks has clients in many industries including advertising, publishing, manufacturing, veterinary medicine, flooring and retail. Les will be the first to tell you there is a place for a Mac and a place for a Windows system -- and where to use which.
