Professor Andrew
Cohen is Associate Director of the Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center
for Ethics, housed in the Philosophy department at Georgia State
University. Professor Cohen received his Ph.D. in Philosophy
at the University of North Carolina in 1994. He has taught at
schools in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and throughout the Southeast.
Professor Cohen's main research areas are in ethical theory,
applied ethics, and social/political philosophy. He has papers
published in professional philosophy journals on topics such
as theories of rights, the ethics of friendship, and the political
theory of British philosopher Thomas Hobbes. Professor Cohen
has taught in his main areas of research as well as other courses
in logic, philosophy of law, and business ethics.

Charles Boyter
