My 10th freelance client in ABQ taught me more than the first 9 combined
I hit my 10th local freelance client last week and it honestly snuck up on me. The first 9 were mostly word of mouth around Nob Hill and I was charging way too little, like $25 an hour for design work. But client number 10, a small bike shop off Central, asked me to quote a full project and I almost said my old rate out of habit. I stopped and asked for $800 flat instead, and they said yes without blinking. That moment made me realize I'd been undervaluing myself for months just because I was scared to ask. Has anyone else had a client say yes too fast and suddenly feel like they left money on the table?
