Appreciation post: A homeowner's story fixed my false alarm issue
I was doing a routine install at a family home last Tuesday. The dad casually mentioned his toddler loves climbing on furniture near the windows. It hit me that my standard sensor spots were too low. I moved them up higher right then and there. Now I make it a point to ask about kids and pets during every estimate. That one conversation saved me from future headaches. Honestly, listening to clients makes our jobs way smoother.

Man, I learned the pet thing the hard way. Took me longer than I'd like to admit to connect the dots between a cat's favorite perch and all those false alarms.

Adjusting the sensor height fixed that for me. Just moved it up a few inches so it only catches human-sized movement. Took care of those random midnight beeps for good.

My cat loves the windowsill too. @jennifer403's tip about sensor height finally saved my sanity.
