A retired climber in Boise told me to stop topping my lindens, and 3 years later the calluses prove him right
I ignored him for two seasons because topping felt faster on a 60 foot tree, but when the suckers shot up 8 feet and the cuts rotted, I went back and told him he was right, so now I'm curious how many of you learned this one the hard way too.
