Learned the hard way that topping a oak in July just sends it into shock
Did a big oak reduction last summer in Austin and it dropped half its canopy by fall because I pruned way too hard in the heat, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has a hard rule about what month they flat out refuse to touch certain species.
