Rant: My friends all use apps for notes, but I stick with pen and paper
I think writing by hand helps me learn more than typing on a screen. Can anyone share how they mix old and new ways to take notes?

Oh man, I was just reading about this! Some study said writing by hand makes your brain work harder to pick out the main ideas, so you remember it better. I totally mix it up, like I'll type notes in class to keep up, but then later I rewrite the big points by hand in a notebook. It feels like the typing gets the info down, but the writing makes it actually stick in my head.

Yeah the typed notes for lectures thing totally tracks. I do the same - typing lets me keep up with fast speakers, then rewriting by hand makes the key ideas stick way better.

What if you switched it mid-lecture? Sometimes a concept is just too dense for typing. I’ll grab my pen right then and force myself to draw it out or summarize in my own words on paper. That immediate struggle to simplify makes it CLICK. Typing gets the flood of info, but pen for the tough stuff saves a ton of confusion later.
