Watched a guy at a Des Moines estate sale pay $40 for a box of 'junk' that had a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle in it
I was standing right next to him at an estate sale in Des Moines last Saturday, and he paid $40 for a box of old cards, then pulled a Mickey Mantle rookie out of the middle. I had picked up that same box twice and put it down because the top cards were water damaged. Now I open every box at every sale, even the gross ones, no matter how long the line is behind me. Does anyone else have a sale they still kick themselves over, and what was actually in it?
