Unpopular opinion: My family talks through every cool space picture I show
I finally got a clear shot of the Orion Nebula after weeks of trying. My brother came over and just scrolled on his phone while I explained it. Then my aunt said it just looks like a smudge and asked what the big deal is. Now I keep my best astronomy photos to myself because no one at home seems to care. It kind of takes the fun out of sharing this hobby.

Have you tried sharing the story behind the photo instead of just the picture itself... like how you waited weeks for that clear shot? Sometimes people connect more with the hunt than the trophy. I showed my mom a boring star chart once but told her about the ancient myths behind the constellations... she got into it after that.

Honestly, is it really worth getting so bent out of shape? Families often ignore stuff they're not into, and that's fine. Just enjoy your photos for yourself and share them with people who care.
