TIL the ATL meetup group actually fixed my awful shotgun mic audio
I used to record my podcast with just my laptop mic and it sounded like I was in a tin can. Last Tuesday I finally went to the Atlanta Podcasters meetup at a coffee shop in Decatur, and a guy named Marcus showed me how to set my gain properly on a $40 lav mic. My last two episodes have zero background hum for the first time since I started recording 8 months ago. I know it's small but hearing my own voice without that static hiss made my whole week. Anyone else here record in an apartment and figure out how to kill the echo?
