DAE think those $12 magnetic socket holders are a gimmick? I was wrong after one job
A guy at the parts counter in Gary kept pushing me to try these cheap magnetic socket rails. I figured they'd fall apart the second I bumped them, so I tossed the set in my box and forgot about them for two weeks. Then I did a brake job on a lifted Ram 2500 and those little magnets held every socket in place while I was crawling under the truck. Nothing rolled into the gravel once, which never happens with my old tray. Now I'm wondering what else I've been writing off as junk that actually works, what's your go to cheap tool that surprised you?
