Tried the 2 foot breaker bar trick on a rusty caliper bolt and it popped in 10 seconds
Been fighting a seized caliper bracket bolt on a 2011 Silverado for like an hour last Tuesday, broke two of my cheap 3/8 ratchets and stripped the head halfway. My old lead tech Marco walked over, grabbed a 1/2 inch breaker bar with a 2 foot pipe on it, and it came loose first try. He said I was wasting time with finesse when rust needs leverage and heat, not more muscle on small tools. Anyone else got a stuck bolt story where the fix was just going bigger instead of smarter?
