A ramp guy in Boise asked why I torque lav plugs with a wrench instead of my hand, and I couldn't answer him
He watched me fight one for ten minutes and just said "your hand tells you more than that wrench ever will." I tried it his way on the next three and felt the crush start to give before I could have overdone it. Any of you still carry a torque wrench, or did you switch over too?

Switched over a few years back after a old timer told me the same thing. Your wrist just knows when it's snug, and I haven't stripped one since.
