PSA: A lead tech told me my wire routing was a fire hazard waiting to happen
He pointed at a bundle I'd made near a hydraulic line on a King Air and said, 'You think that zip tie is enough? That chafes once and you've got smoke in the cockpit.' I started using spiral wrap and proper clamps for any run within six inches of a moving part or hot line. It takes a few more minutes, but his comment about a single point of failure really stuck. How do you guys handle wire runs in tight spaces where things rub?

That zip tie story hits home. Ever see what happens when a fuel line rubs through?
