My chocolate chip cookies turned into one giant puddle at 3 AM

Forgot the flour while baking in my tiny apartment kitchen. Scraped it all back into the bowl, mixed the flour in, and they came out perfect on the second try. Anyone else ever completely blank on a main ingredient?

Wait, you guys ever see those baking fail videos? I saw one where someone used salt instead of sugar because the containers looked the same in dim light. That's a late night disaster you can't come back from. Flour is bad but at least you get a weird butter puddle. Salt cookies are just inedible. Makes me double check every label now if I'm tired.

Glad you saved the batch. I mean, forgetting the flour is the main event though. That's the whole cookie.
