Clipper gap comparison, cheap vs pro model over 3 months of daily cuts
Ran my $60 corded Wahl for two years straight, then a buddy convinced me to try a $220 cordless model. Difference showed up fast in the fade work. The cheap one heated up after 6 heads, started snagging on thick hair about a month in hard. The expensive one held a cooler temp, motor never bogged, battery got me through every shift including walk-ins. I kept both in my kit for backup, but I haven't touched the cheap one since March. Anyone else notice a huge gap between brands that price out way different, or did I just get a dud?
Wait, 6 heads before the cheap one started getting hot? My $45 Andis starts feeling warm after like 3 fades and I just figured that was normal for all clippers. That's wild that the pro model stayed cool through a whole shift, how hot does a clipper even get before you gotta stop?
