The alarm habit that was making me more tired in Denver

I used to set like 5 alarms spread over 90 minutes thinking I was easing into the day. Turns out that fragmented sleep was wrecking me worse than just getting up at 6am sharp. Read something from a sleep doc out of UC Boulder that said fragmented waking spikes cortisol, which for a freelancer is basically a head start on burnout. Now I set one alarm and drag myself to the coffee maker, and my 2pm crash is gone. Anyone else try the single alarm thing and notice a difference?
