Vent: a guy in line at the post office in Boise said he bills 30 hours a week and calls the rest his life
I was mailing a package last Tuesday and this guy behind me was joking with the clerk about how he dropped from 50 billable hours to 30 on purpose. He said his first year doing that he made about $8k less but stopped waking up at 4am with his chest tight. I keep telling myself I can't cut hours because of rent, but hearing him say it out loud made me wonder if I'm just scared of the number going down. For anyone who made the jump, how did you figure out 30 was the right number and not 40 with better boundaries?
