PSA: I waited years for a show to wrap up and it just got canned.
I put off starting a series until the final season aired. Now it's been canceled with no ending in sight. How do you pick which shows to commit to without wasting your time?

Check if the show's based on finished books or has a planned ending announced. I learned the hard way after investing in a few that got dropped, so now I wait for at least two seasons to see if it's sticking around. Honestly, it saves a lot of frustration in the long run.

I mean, I've been burned by so many cancelled shows I should know better by now. Maybe it's just me but I still jump in too early.

Actually, jumping in early lets you enjoy the show when everyone is talking about it. If you wait, you miss out on all the fun theories and memes before they get old. Sure, it might get cancelled, but the shared excitement is worth the risk.
