Question about always needing a big group for board games
Most folks say you need a crowd for a real board game night. I learned this isn't true after playing with just my buddy every week. I got good at adjusting games for two people, which helped us think more about each move. Now I see how quiet games can be just as fun as loud ones. I wish more geeks would give small groups a real chance.
I read that the board game 7th Continent was actually made for one or two people from the start. It's this big adventure game but it's all about working through the puzzles together quietly. Maybe that's why some games just feel better with less people, you get to really dig into the mechanics.
