Finally got my first hollow-back book to sit flat after 4 tries
The trick was scraping the spine lining thinner than I thought it needed to be, about half the thickness I was using before. Spent a whole Saturday on just that step and the boards finally opened smooth. Anybody got a favorite tool for trimming the lining without gouging the text block?
