Two years of sleeping in a $12 rooftop tent in Chefchaouen got me a free week at a riad
Back in 2022 I started skipping hotels and just renting a rooftop tent setup in Chefchaouen for about $12 a night, which felt wild at the time. After my third trip there last month, the owner of the little riad below us offered me a free room for a week because I kept sending him guests who wanted a real bed.
