Warning: my $8 hostel in Bangkok had no AC and I almost bailed, but one trick saved the trip
I asked the front desk for the fan room on the top floor instead of the stuffy dorm and paid $3 less, and honestly it was cooler and quiet enough to sleep, so has anyone else pulled the cheap room shuffle in a hot city?
