Why does nobody warn you about old copper in plaster walls?
Last week I was fishing a new drop through a 1920s brick home in Cleveland and hit a snag halfway up the wall. Turned out the original coax was stapled straight into the plaster at weird random angles, no slack anywhere. I ended up splitting the line open and had to cut a 4 foot access hole to patch it back. What do you guys do when you run into this, do you just abandon the old path and run surface molding instead?
