My $200 mistake: I dropped a client's Nikon on the shop floor and had to fix it myself
Last week I was in my shop in Denver, trying to juggle two repairs at once, and I set a Nikon D750 on the edge of the bench while I reached for a screwdriver. It slid off and hit the concrete right on the mount. The flange was bent and the AF wouldn't lock. I had to tell the client, who was already upset about the $350 repair bill. I offered to fix it for free and spent 6 hours getting the mount perfectly aligned with a dial indicator. I learned to never work on two cameras at the same time. Does anyone else have a rule about only one camera on the bench at a time?
