Shoutout to the $12 knee kicker I bought at a garage sale that outlasted my $180 one
So about 8 months back I'm at a garage sale over in Tulsa and this old guy has a knee kicker sitting on a folding table with a $12 sticker on it. It looked rough, handle all taped up, but it felt solid so I handed him the cash thinking it'd be a backup for the truck. Fast forward to last Tuesday, my fancy one that set me back around $180 snapped the head right in the middle of a stretch in a hallway, and I grabbed the garage sale one just to get through the day. That little thing has now done 14 rooms since then without a single hiccup, and honestly it kicks smoother than the expensive one ever did. My helper Marcus keeps calling it the ugly stick and he's not wrong, but it hasn't let me down once. The old guy told me it was his dad's from back in the 80s and I'm starting to think they just built them different back then. Now I'm wondering if I should hunt down more of these old ones instead of buying new. Has anyone else had a cheap beat up tool that just refuses to die on you?
