Two installers arguing about power stretchers at the supply house in Tulsa
I was picking up tack strip at the supply house in Tulsa last week and two older guys got into it about power stretchers. One said he never uses one on a 12x15 room with good tack strip, just kicks it tight and it holds fine. The other guy said that's why he gets called back to fix wrinkles 6 months later, and he power stretches everything no matter the size. I've been kicking most rooms under 15 feet for 8 years and honestly haven't had many callbacks, but now I'm second guessing myself. What do you all do, power stretch every room or just the big ones?
