The stained glass repair that taught me to stop accepting vague emails

Got a project through a shop in Savannah, they just said 'fix the crack and clean it up' with no photos or size specs. I quoted $150 based on that, then showed up to a 4 foot window with a hole the size of a grapefruit, took 6 extra hours and $40 in new glass. Now I ask for exact measurements and three angles of shots before I even give a number, has anyone else gotten burned by clients who leave out the obvious stuff?

Did you check the shop's own reviews before taking the job?
