A client in Phoenix said my invoices read like a ransom note, so I added one line and got paid in 4 days
She said she couldn't tell what she was paying for because my line items were just vague stuff like 'work completed' and 'materials'. So now I add one plain sentence at the top of each bill that says exactly what got done that week. Anyone else change their whole billing style off one blunt comment?
