Bought a $99 "learn to code in 30 days" course and quit on day 4
I saw an ad for a coding bootcamp style course that promised I'd be building apps in 30 days, so I paid the $99 on a Tuesday night and felt really good about it. By day 4 I was so lost I couldn't even get my Python print statements to run right, and the videos just kept saying "don't worry if this feels hard" without actually explaining anything. The worst part is I found out later that free stuff like the Python docs and YouTube tutorials cover the same basics, just at a slower pace that actually makes sense. If you're brand new, don't pay for a timeline promise, go slow and free first. What free resources did you actually stick with when you were starting out?
