Spent 4 months chasing bitter espresso before I checked my water, and the fix cost $18
Turned out my tap water in Reno runs hard enough that it was pulling nasty stuff out of the machine, and a cheap charcoal pitcher filter fixed what no grinder setting or dose tweak could, so has anyone else gone down the water rabbit hole before blaming their beans?

The water rabbit hole is real, I filter mine now too and it changed everything.
