Got a dead laptop back to life with a $12 part from a shop in Mesa
A customer brought in a laptop that three other shops said needed a new motherboard, and I found a blown power jack cap on the board. Swapped in a $12 replacement from a parts shop in Mesa and it booted right up on the bench. Curious what cheap fixes other techs have pulled off that the big shops wrote off as dead.
