PSA: lost a RAID rebuild in Amarillo because nobody labeled which bay the dead drive came from
I pulled the bad disk from a 4 bay NAS without writing down the slot number, then spent 3 hours guessing while the volume sat in degraded mode. Now I snap a phone pic of the bay before touching anything, so how do you all keep track when there's no manual around?
