Shoutout to the old timer in Tucson who told me to stop reseating RAM and just swap the slot
Back around 2019 I was sure bad RAM sticks were the whole story on random shutdowns, and I must have reseated the same two sticks six times on one shop build before an old tech at the counter told me to try the other slot pair. Turned out the board had a dead channel and I'd been chasing the sticks for two days, and now I test slots first on anything that boots weird. How do you guys split the blame between the part and the slot when a machine acts up like that?
