Pro tip: poured a slab on a hot day and saved it with a wet burlap trick I saw in Denver

My mix was setting way too fast last July, so I draped wet burlap over the fresh slab and kept misting it for about 4 hours, and it stopped the cracking dead, has anyone else tried this for high heat pours?

Oh man, that's a rough spot to be in with concrete setting too fast in the heat. I've definitely been there and it's a panic feeling when you see it starting to go off before you're ready. Good on you for thinking fast with the burlap, that's a solid save and I bet it held up fine after that.

Yeah nothing like a little panic sweating to go with the heat.
