A guy in Roswell showed me a 47 page document on the Georgia Guidestones and I sat there for 3 hours
Went down a rabbit hole last weekend after someone at a coffee shop in Roswell, Georgia handed me a printed packet about the Georgia Guidestones. The thing that got me was page 47, which had a 1980 letter from a man named R.C. Christian asking a granite company in Elberton for a quote on a monument with 10 specific rules carved in 8 different languages. The math on the Elberton Granite Finishing Company invoice was $50,000 and nobody has ever figured out who actually paid it. Does anyone else think the real story is boring and the mystery is just that people like mysteries, or am I missing something?
Man, the boring answer is usually the right one and I bet that's what's going on here. Some rich guy with a weird hobby wanted a monument built, paid cash through a lawyer or a trust, and the whole R.C. Christian thing was just a fake name so he wouldn't get bugged about it for the rest of his life. The granite company probably knew who cut the check too, but they took that secret to the grave because why burn a customer like that. The 8 languages and the 10 rules are the flashy part that keeps people hooked, but strip that away and it's just a guy with money and a plan for what he wanted the world to look like after he was gone.
