Finally passed my first ever code inspection on a deck in Bend after 3 failed tries
Three weeks ago I built a 12x16 deck in Bend and the inspector flagged my ledger flashing, then my footing depth, then my guardrail spacing on three separate visits. I spent $600 redoing the footings with concrete and watched a YouTube video from a guy in Ohio who explained it way better than any code book. Has anyone else had an inspector who keeps finding one new thing each time instead of telling you everything at once?
