I finally started charging for windshield time after a client in Boise asked me one simple question
Last month I was wrapping up a bid in Boise and the client asked how I price the drive out to their place, which is about 40 minutes each way. I admitted I usually just eat it, and she said flat out "you're losing two hours of your day, why wouldn't you charge for it." That hit me because I had been doing free windshield time for almost three years. Started adding a flat trip fee on every estimate after that and not one person has pushed back. Curious how you all handle drive time, do you bake it into the hourly or list it separate?
