Dewalt vs Milwaukee batteries, but the real issue is the charger

I ran a pressure washing gig in Phoenix last summer and blew through two 5Ah batteries before noon. The heat killed them, but the real headache was the charger. My buddy had a Milwaukee setup and his dual bay charger could revive a hot battery way faster than my single bay unit. I swapped to a different brand charger last month, not the battery, and it cut my downtime by half. Anybody else find that the charger matters more than the tool brand when you're running all day?

You tried swapping just the charger first, or did you run the same batteries on the new one? I did something similar with my Makita stuff, turned out the smart charger handles heat way better than the old dumb one. The trick for me was keeping the batteries on a cooler surface while they charge, like a concrete slab in the shade, and I rotate them so they never sit in a hot truck. Heat kills the cells faster than any brand mismatch, and a good charger just manages that a lot smarter.
