Pro tip: flipped my circular saw blade backwards for a 40 foot rip in MDF and it worked
Was cutting a 40 foot rip through 3/4 inch MDF for a built in last Tuesday and the blade kept burning and wandering on me. A guy at the lumber yard in Mesa told me to flip the blade around so it cuts on the pull stroke, and I got a clean line with almost no tear out. It felt wrong the whole time but the edge came out dead straight. Anyone else run a blade backwards on purpose like this or am I just asking for a kickback?
