The coffee shop on 5th kicked me out for taking calls, so I built my own meetup
I was working out of a cafe near downtown Riverside every Tuesday and Thursday until the owner tapped my shoulder mid-call and asked me to leave because I'd been there 4 hours on one $3 drip coffee. I posted on a local freelancers group that night saying I'd host something in the library meeting room instead, and 9 people showed up that first week, which turned into a standing Thursday thing for 6 months now. Has anyone else had a spot pull the plug on them, and where did you end up going after that?
