Found out last Tuesday I was reading the load chart backwards for 3 months
So I'm on this job in Bakersfield lifting some precast panels and the whole time I'm thinking I got plenty of capacity. A guy named Dale who runs the other rig walks over, looks at my chart, and asks why I got my boom angle going the opposite way. Turns out I had the radius and the angle lines flipped in my head since I started this gig. Ran the numbers right and I was pushing 92 percent capacity on a lift I thought was around 60. Anyone else ever pull a bonehead move like that and catch it way later than they want to admit?

Reading the chart backwards for 3 months is wild, but at least Dale caught it before something snapped.
