Found out my crane's load chart is based on 100 year old math
Was reading the manual for our Liebherr LTM 1090 last week and saw the capacity tables still use formulas from the 1920s. Some German engineer basically did the trig by hand. Anyone else ever look into where those numbers actually come from?

Maths from the 1920s still holds up fine today, so what's the actual problem?
