That union steward in Detroit changed my view on rigging plans
I was setting up a 150 ton crawler on a tight site last Tuesday and this old steward walks over, watched me for 5 minutes, then said my tag line plan was overcomplicated and gonna cause a swing issue. He sketched a simpler two-point hitch on a napkin and it honestly worked smoother than anything I've done in 12 years. Am I wrong for always overthinking the math when the hands-on guys just feel it out?

Napkin math beats calculator luck til it doesn't. That old timer never saw your load charts.
1
