Took 3 hours to swap one hoist brake, should've been 45 minutes
At the Port of Long Beach last week, the pin on the brake caliper was seized so bad I had to torch it out, then the new one didn't line up with the mounting holes. Had to grind a quarter inch off the bracket and re-drill two holes. Anyone else ever fight a simple swap that turned into a half-day ordeal?

Fifteen minutes of prep work upfront usually saves three hours of fighting rust and misaligned holes down the line.
