Unpopular opinion: That quick pre-lift huddle is NOT optional

Last week, our crew rushed and skipped the team talk. I had a bad feeling but kept quiet. Mid-lift, a spotter walked right into my blind zone. No one shared the load path, so we came WAY too close. Now I DEMAND that huddle, no excuses.

Yeah that "almost dropped a beam" story sums up why those talks feel boring until they're not. It's like they thought the safety chat was just a suggestion box. Skipping it to save five minutes nearly cost them way more than that, real genius move. Bet they won't make that call again. Some crews learn cheap, others need a near miss to get it.
