Auto loan servicer locked my account over a $38 mystery fee

Went to pay my car note last Friday and the site logged me out, then said my account was frozen for a $38 charge I never saw. Three calls and two hours later they said it was a "system error" but my payment still shows late. Anyone else have their servicer pull this kind of stunt before?
