My credit score dropped 40 points over a $12 library fine
Got a collections notice last Tuesday from a library in Austin for a book I returned 3 days late. The fine was $12 but they sent it to a collector and my score tanked from 742 to 702 overnight. I called the library and they said they couldn't pull it back once it hits collections. Has anyone fought one of these small dollar collections and actually won to get it removed?
