Pro tip: that 60% stat about reusing passwords finally made me change mine
I saw a Verizon data breach report from 2023 that said 60% of people reuse the same password across multiple accounts. I kind of shrugged it off until my old Xbox account got hit last month, and I realized I'd used that same password on like 8 other sites. Now I'm stuck wondering if a password manager with one strong master pass is actually better, or if writing them in a notebook at home is safer since nothing digital can leak. What do you all do?
Guessed my Netflix password wrong so many times last year that my own TV stopped trusting me, which is honestly fair. I switched to a password manager after that and it's been fine, but I totally get the notebook thing since nothing on paper can get hacked. Just don't do what I did and keep the notebook right next to the laptop.
